Schedule:
5PM: Entertainment & Parol Gallery in Jessie Square
6:15PM: Parade Starts at Yerba Buena Gardens
6:30PM: Music, Gimme Games, and Tala Awards in Jessie Square
Gimme Game prizes from beloved SF stores! (2011 featured prizes from: Seafood City, Rainbow Grocery, Starbucks, Mrs. Field’s Cookies, Jamba Juice, Subway, and MORE!)
Note: In case of rain, outdoor activities will be cancelled and the festival will take place in St. Patrick’s Cathedral at 6:30pm.
Parol-Making Workshops
The Bayanihan Community Center (BCC) hosts FREE parol-making workshops Fridays, 5-8pm starting Friday, October 19 (excluding Friday, November 23).

Parol-Making Materials
Please note we can only offer ONE free parol per person at the BCC workshops. Additional Parol-making materials for individuals, parade contingents, and workshop sites will ONLY be available for purchase on Fridays during the BCC Parol-Making workshops. Limited stock is available, in 18-inch sizes only ($6).
We highly encourage past festival contingents to re-use parol frames from previous years. Parade contingents should order materials IN ADVANCE of workshop. Order online or contact us at 415-348-8042 for more information.
Contingent Registration
Register with your group/school/senior center to be a part of our parade! $25 registration fee for all contingents. Payments can be made when registering online or in person at the Bayanihan Community Center, 1010 Mission Street @6th, San Francisco. Contingents will be notified one week in advance if activities will be held in St. Patrick’s Church due to rain/inclement weather.
Tala Awards
ALL participating parade contingents are eligible to compete for a highly coveted Tala Award! Judges will be scoring parols based on 1) creativity/innovation, and 2) design/aesthetics. Please remember that you will be asked to arrive early on the day of the parade for judging.
Tala Award Grand Prizes
1st Place $500 – 2011 Winner : Filipino American Coalition for Environmental Solidarity (FACES)
2nd Place $100 – 2011 Winner : Pilipino American Collegiate Endeavor (PACE)
3rd Place $75 – 2011 Winner : Manilatown Heritage Foundation
