Fiestas Patrias Festival

Epicentro Advertising, Marketing & Production, Mundo Fox and the Mexican Consulate of San Jose present the Fiestas Patrias “El Grito” Festival, Sunday, September 14, 2014, 12:30 pm–8:30 pm. The outdoor El “Grito” brings families and friends together to enjoy a fun-filled afternoon/evening in San José. The Festival will feature two stages with live music and entertainment from local and national mariachi, folkloric and band groups as well as many other acts will take place at Discovery Meadow. Expected attendance will be approximately 5,500-6,500.

The Mexican Independence is celebrated annually to remember the bravery of Miguel Hidalgo. To this day, the church bell that was used 203 years ago hangs in the National Palace in Mexico City and is rung at mid-night of 15th September each year by the President of Mexico.

The Fiestas Patrias “El Grito” Festival, will showcase a multi-cultural selection of food vendors, as well as cultural, local community service, business vendors placed throughout the festival area. (See attached park map layout). Epicentro Advertising, Marketing & Production, under the direction of Maria F. Schabbing, has presented event productions services to chambers of commerce, merchant associations, and various city agencies, corporations and non-profits throughout the Bay Area & Northern California for the past 25 years. Partnered for this event is the local non-profit, Teatro Nahual. Proceeds from this event will support youth dance/theater scholarships and future cultural programs.
