What is Lace? And Why?
Lace is simply lines and holes. It frames space and memory.
Join Pam Moore as she shows her knitted lace art, shows some of her sources, and explains the connection between lace and memory. Pam is a fiber artist always in love with lace. She graduated from UC Santa Cruz with a BA in painting and independent studies in knitted lace as art. Recently returning to knitted art, she has been included in shows here at the San Jose Museum of Quilts & Textiles, one being Invisible Lineages, and at the de Saisset Museum, Fiber Beyond Function. One of her pieces has been included in the permanent collection at the San Jose Museum of Quilts & Textiles.
This will be 2013's final installment of the San Jose Museum of Quilts and Textiles Fiber Talks Lecture series.
