Description REDLINE PRESENTS: FESTIVAL A 3 ROOM UNDERGROUND EVENT @ THE BORDELLO featuring 3 rooms of: FSOUND FRIDAY AUGUST 7 9pm to 6am featuring: REID SPEED Reid Speed is a DJ sought far & wide for her party rocking, fast paced, multi-genre dancefloor smashing sets. She was first known to many through her Breakbeat Science drum & bass CDs, but as 1/3 of Breakdown and 1/2 of Beep (her electro/fidget/bassline projects) she has pushed to the cutting edge of EDM. With over 10 records released in 2008, a new mix CD out now on Moist Music, a new label launching (Heart Beats) and many more musical offerings in the works, 2009 looks to be an even bigger year for this energetic crowd favorite. She currently holds residencies at House and the Boom Room in LA and travels far & wide on a weekly basis to reach her audiences. In the past year, Reid's mixes have has been featured on the BBC Radio 1 (Annie Nightingale's Best Mix of 2008), Power 106, Groove Radio, Sirius, Dogs On Acid, Missingtoof, Discodust, I Heart Comix, Hype Machine, Crux Da House, NerdyFrames, Media Contender, and more. In her 13+ year career she has released 3 classic mix CDs, dozens of free mixes for the fans, DJ'd for network television shows, judged a Rockstar DJ contest (Beauty & the Beats), and played countless parties, festivals, raves and nightclubs, movie premiers, museums... and even DJ'd a protest on the lawn of the US Capitol building. She is or has been sponsored by Shure, Native Instruments, Pioneer & Stanton, and fashion labels Triple 5 Soul, Matix, Sinful, Junkytees, Thief, and Grid. Through the years, Reid has played industry parties for Scion, Diesel, Puma, Pioneer, Numark, J Lindbergh, Beautiful Decay, Dub Frequency, URB, Mixer, BPM, Tiger Beer and Sparks. She has been featured in countless mags like Paper, Nylon, Gear, Flaunt, The Fader, VICE, Tokyon, Karma, URB, BPM & XLR8R, appeared in the "Concentric Beats" documentary, "Sabotage- The Movie", and in her own short cartoon DJ superhero spot on Showtime.
