My name is Barbara Felix and I live in Miraloma park of San Francisco along with my beautiful rescued dog, Daisy.
As a native San Franciscan, food has always been important in my family. My father was a chef at the Hyatt Regency Embarcadero for a number of years and I decided to make food my career in the early 90's. In 1992, I was graduated with honors from the California Culinary Academy's full program and have happily worked in the food business ever since.
Right after graduation, I took a position as pantry cook at The Lark Creek Inn in Larkspur. While there, I flourished under their tutelage and was honored to have several of my creations put on the menu, including Barb's Wine Jelly, Barb's Pear Chutney, and Barb's Fruit Mustard. I still use many of the recipes I learned there.
