Feast of Words: A Literary Potluck is a monthly dinner party where writers and foodies come together to eat, write, and share. Head to Feast of Words on the third Tuesday of each month to discover local chefs and writers, bring a dish on the monthly theme and share your on-the-spot writing to be entered in a drawing for edibles, books and other prizes!

On Tuesday, December 18, 7 to
9pm, Feast of Words: A Literary Potluck features poet Nic Alea, who reads from a new chapbook, All Trees, No Pianos and leads a writing exercise on this months theme Naughty or Nice.

Artisan soup maker Jane Lin of Mama Tong Soup anchors the evenings potluck with a warming herbal soup. As always, guests can bring a dish, take part in a writing exercise and share the work they have created for a chance to win literary and culinary prizes.

About Nic Alea
Alea (pictured above) is a Bay Area-based poet who co-hosts an open mic at Viracocha in San Francisco called New Poetry Mission: The New Shit Show, which focuses on the production of new work. Alea also helps facilitate a creative writing workshop at Solano Juvenile Detention Facility with The Beat Within and has been published in Word Riot, > Kill Author, The Evergreen Review, among other places. About Jane Lin of Mama Tong Soup
Since February 2012 Jane Lin has made specialty Chinese soups as Mama Tong Soup with her sister-in-law Lien Lin.
