Description
In an age of 24-hour cable news, when we can stay glued to the latest terrorist attack or natural disaster, the next epidemic, and what the pundits tell us we should be afraid of, our efforts to control the unknown and keep ourselves safe have led to a collective as well as a personal sensation of fear. We have become addicted to fear.

Fearproof Your Life: How to Thrive in a World Addicted to Fear (Conari Press) was written in response to the wave of fear that has swept our culture in this new century. In this new book psychologist, Joe Bailey offers us a way out of a life tainted by fear, insecurity and worry. He shows the reader how to connect to an inner source of security, wisdom and peace of mind, no matter what is happening around them. By living our lives from the source of a fearless state of mind—the true Self, we are able to wisely and creatively respond to the challenges of today’s world. A spiritual realization is the only antidote to the stress and fear that have become the norm in our world.

Fearproof Your Life can help you face the fears that can overtake your life such as the fear of:

* The Economy—the lowering value of US dollar, increased debt, the worst housing growth in 50 years (since WWII).
* Disease—fear of illness, epidemics, aging and death.
* Climate Change—fires, floods, hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes, draughts.
* Terrorism—The Iraq War, Osama Bin Laden, Iran’s drumbeat of war, instability in the Middle East, Pakistan.
* Job Insecurity—downsizing, loss of benefits.
* Healthcare—no insurance or underinsured, skyrocketing costs.
* Politics—manipulation of voters through fear.
* Crime—fear of violence against self, property, children

But we don’t need to be adrenaline junkies. People who are constantly fearful or in a state of denial have perceptual blinders on. They are so focused on their thoughts of what could go wrong that they miss the obvious dangers right in front of them. Their minds are in the future or the past but not in the present. Bailey takes us through a process of being willing to listen to our own intuitions and act from it, without seeking approval, of being willing to forgive ourselves and others and take responsibility for what we create.

Fearproofing your life will:

* Improve Relationships
* Reduce Stress
* Improve Health both physically and mentally
* Increase Confidence
* Make Life More Enjoyable

Fearproofing Your Life teaches us how to live in the present moment, where we have access to our intuition and to a clear-minded perception of reality. Being in the present moment is the only time we are able to see what is dangerous and what is not. Being aware and seeing clearly allows us to respond from wisdom to any situation that presents itself.
