Fashion Draping Part 2 with Richard Hallmarq

SEE EVENT DETAILS
If you loved our last demonstration and lecture by Project Runway's Richard Hallmarq, don't miss this next one. This time, Richard will demonstrate how to drape a poncho shirt. This is not your typical over-sized shirt--draped with a jersey knit, this top is fashion forward and complements any style. The second garment is a versatile cross back winter pull over. Richard will also demonstrate how to turn this awesome design into a flattering short dress with modifications for different body types.

You don't need to have attended the last workshop to attend this one. Part 2 will cover the basics as well. The entire draping process will be demonstrated, from fabric selection to garment completion with seam finishing recommendations. You'll drape with confidence after this two hour demo. Plan on staying after the class for fabric shopping advice from Richard!

The demonstration is $20 and takes place in our new Fourth Floor workshop space. Doors open at 10 AM.

From his first runway show in 2004, to presenting well-received collections at San Francisco Fashion Week, to being a cast member on the hit TV series Project Runway Season 11, Hallmarq has achieved acclaim for his designs as well as tapping into his passion for art and music.

With strict attention to fit and detail, Hallmarq takes his preferred textile–jersey- knit–from simplicity to luxury. Hallmarq is the ready-to-wear Jersey boy with a clientele that reaches from the woman of business to the world of celebrities. Hallmarq’s dresses can carry you from the office to dinner or to a red carpet event–wherever your fashion imagination takes you!
