San Francisco-based quartet Eyes On The Shore have described their sound as "surf western." It is an apt description. The band's recently released debut LP, "A Golden Blue," toggles between washes of ambient guitars, foot-stomping blues riffs and propulsive rhythms, which recall the swagger of Motown and '60s garage/surf acts like the Zombies. Eyes On The Shore have a busy spring and summer ahead. After their show at the Art Boutiki this Friday, they're off to South By Southwest in Austin, and they are slated to play the Soundcheck Local Band Stage at Live 105's BFD festival in June.
