With his weekly Tubesteak Connection party at Aunt Charlie’s Lounge, Bus Station John has kept, fed, and held aloft the flame of San Francisco’s queer party culture. Slinging a mix of tunes that are funky enough to make anybody with a throb in their veins cut the rug, and obscure enough to have other DJs slobbering over his 12” discs, BSJ’s bushy beard and stern gaze might seem intimidating at first; give him the time and his aural hustle will prove to you that pleasure is his aim and Bus Station John always hits the mark.
