Her forthcoming book "SymbioSeas" (Penn State University Press) illuminates underwater representations and trans-species mediations. She has recently published articles in "Cultural Anthropology," "Parallax," "Women’s Studies Quarterly," and "Women and Performance." Hayward is assistant professor in gender and women’s studies at University of Arizona, Tucson.
