Voice of Roma's Herdeljezi Romani (Gypsy) Music Festival, features the legendary "Queen of Romani Song" and globally recognized humanitarian Esma Redzepova & The Folk Masters Band from Macedonia in their final U.S. tour.
The Festival showcases Romani music, dance, foods, and culture while educating the public about the struggles of the Romani people to combat discrimination. Workshops in Romani singing and instrumental music begin at 5 pm, followed by a panel discussion on Romani culture and human rights issues at 6:45 pm. A Romani dance workshop will take place at 8 pm, followed by an 8:30 pm concert and dance.
