FEATURING:

**EPROM**
(WARP/FRITE NITE/RWINA)

**HALF-LIFE ALBUM RELEASE PARTY**

https://soundcloud.com/eprom

"EPROM is one of the vibrant West-Coast scene’s most colourful characters and an important cog in the international Rwina machine. He’s a consummate post-millennial producer, and his sound varies from toxic hip-hop to searing garage mutations to bizarre concoctions somewhere in between. His beats jiggle and drip and contort wildly, always in some perpetual state of melting, churning, and mutation. He’s had releases on Warp, Surefire, and Bristol-based Bad Acid, but it’s his Rwina releases that have been the most visible and enduring, whether it’s the timestretch torture and fierce melodic geysers of “Humanoid” or deconstructionist mayhem of his “Pipe Dream” EP, where dubstep and grime collide for a staggering beast that shakes off heavy blotches of radioactive fluorescent sludge with every beat that lands. His live sets are something to behold as well, emphasizing the hip-hop roots that lurk underneath his sewer beats, and an hour of EPROM is bound to turn your brain into to the same sort of goo that gums the gears of his distinctive beats.
Fans and supporters of Eprom include Flying Lotus, ?uestlove, DJ Shadow, Rustie, The Gaslamp Killer, The Glitch Mob and BBC Radio One’s Mary Anne Hobbs, and the producer has shared the stage with many of the international electronic music community’s hottest artists. With his new album, Metahuman, garnering critical acclaim from all corners, Eprom is finally getting the recognition he has earned as an integral part of the giant bouncing backbone of West Coast Sound."

**GRENIER**
(TECTONIC/SYMBOLS RECORDINGS)

https://soundcloud.com/djg

"Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Dean J. Grenier, A.K.A DJG, landed in the Bay Area underground dance music scene 2006 with his first 12" "Shadow Skanking" b/w "Joyful Sound" on Narco.Hz, two slices of lithe, slick dubstep. Immediate airplay for "Joyful Sound" on Rinse FM and drops in the clubs from prominent DJs like N-Type quickly propelled DJG to the forefront of American bass music producers early on in his career.

Grenier's production style is rich and welcoming, sometimes visceral but never anything less than evocative. Now considered a veteran of the American scene, DJG self-released the two-disc Voids collection in 2010, revealing not only a clever grasp of dubstep and dnb but ambient soundscapes, and since then he’s released on labels like Gilles Peterson’s Brownswood imprint, Headhunter’s Transistor, Frite Nite, Pushing Red and Wheel & Deal Records. Now working under the name Grenier his recent productions see him moving in a more experimental direction, dropping the tempo to as low as 125BPM while playing around with rhythmic structures that hint at soulful house, garage, and other weird shapes, all imbued with the warm melodic embrace he’s always kept hidden beneath the beats. With forthcoming releases on Tectonic, Photek Productions, Get Darker and Frite Nite (with LA’s Salva), 2012 looks to be a banner year for Grenier, as he continues work on his debut album. DJs ranging from Mary Anne Hobbs, Mala, Pearson Sound, 2562, Pinch, Addison Groove, Salva, Photek, N-Type, Distal and many more have been supporting Grenier's recent and forthcoming releases.

Grenier’s performance behind the decks reveals a wide-ranging taste and smart grip on all sorts of music, elegantly-paced sets full of his own productions and like-minded efforts from others. His DJ talents have brought him all over the world, including a recent set at the legendary club Fabric in London and a tour around Europe in 2011, and back home in North America he’s headlined British Columbia’s Bass Coast Festival."

*SMASHELTOOTH*
(BEATCHURCH)

"There once was a dreamy-eyed lass and only punk rock and hardcore could make her shake her ass. One day she was walking around the block when she heard a boombox play hip hop. She started dancing and yelling YAAAAY but fell over and landed in a pile of dancehall-reggae. Reggae covered her eyes and face when she meandered into a basement playing drum and bass. This music made her dance and shake her back until she thought she'd have a heart attack. Then an unknown mysteriously deep bass sound led her into a secret room where dubstep was abound. Deciding she'd already fallen in love with enough musics in this one day, she finally went home and had dreams of getting thizz faced and riding the whip with Mac Dre.
Going stoopid doo-doo dumb on the stage with the likes of ___insert name dropping dopeness here____ Smasheltooth intends to integrate inner-city raps with privileged producer slaps and spread musical butter over rumps across the globe in the name of Furl! Yadadaholla?"

*KITTY-D*
(BEAT CHURCH)

https://soundcloud.com/kitty-d

"Kitty-D works with an audio arsenal library of manipulated sampled recordings, analog, digital and self created sounds to initialize a universe of sonic fiction. Collaborations include tracks with Random Rab, Ooah, Mimosa , and many other audio entities. His original compositions, mash-ups, & remixes have been bringing big warm bass sounds with hypnotic layering, melodies, catchy hooks & a hip hop flavor to the underground west coast glitch/ breaks/ & dubstep music scenes since 2004.

One of the original founding members of the"The Glitch Mob" and glitch hop pioneering project "The Seedling Escape" with Ooah in 2005, he often has tendencies of obscurity with the music business and rarely releases material for sale. His performances carve a dynamic range of original and live multiple channel / improvised/ dj mash-up styles and sonic supernovas. Surfing sound waves from other dimensions."

"From the Bay Area and beyond, Anthony VanVranken, A.K.A "VNDMG", is bringing his own brand of bass music. VNDMG blends diverse musical genres to form a sophisticated and layered sound that always keeps the dance floors packed. Drawing from his roots in IDM and Downtempo, VNDMG attemps to bring a more progressive and psychedelic flare to the world of 808 Bass Music. With a slew of originals, remixes, collaborations, and dubplates to choose from, crowds are always in for a treat with VNDMG's sets."
