Description October 31st is the next instalment of San Francisco's Episcopalist Disco: EPISCODISCO! This month is an early edition, so as not to conflict with all hallows eve plans... 5pm-9pm ALL SOULS MAAAADNESS: All Souls Day is both a remembrance of those who've died and a celebration and affirmation of life. Feel free to bring an object for the alter (photo, flower, note, curio) to remember someone you have loved and lost, and collaborate in our artistic commemoration. We will have: alters of remembrance by 3 mindblowingly awesome artists, The ethereal music of Zak Shepard (CAVES, ex-The Evening) Haunting DJ's Refreshing ments and the host more priestly than Rob Halford, Bertie P About the mindblowingly awseome art mentoned above: ...........................What You Are I Once Was............................ In this group exhibition “What You Are I Once Was”, Bay Area artists Bert Bergen, Hilary Pecis and Meagan Donegan raise altars for one night to rejoice life and honor the departed in this sublime setting. Brooklyn-based artist Dan Carlson’s supernatural video work steals a glimpse of what lies between these realms, and a musical procession led by Zak Shepard trumpets our effort to reach resonances of the earthly and beyond.
