South Asians, people who trace their origins from Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan or Sri Lanka, are four times more likely to develop cardiovascular disease than the general population.
THE OBJECTIVES OF THE SESSION ARE:
-Understand the associated metabolic and behavioral risk factors underlying the epidemiology of CAD in South Asians
-Review the findings from the target population that has completed the lifestyle intervention program at South Asian Heart Center
-Understand and help patients implement lifestyle changes to decrease the risk of CAD and enhance longevity
We are pleased to announce the opening of the latest South Asian Heart Center in Los Gatos. This center will provide support for practices and their patients based in the Los Gatos and adjoining areas.
