San Francisco has historically been an artistic breeding ground, and this April Hotel Utah will play host to two of the most genre bending, progressive acts that The Bay area has to offer. Eitch (pronounced "H") fuses together originally composed, vocally driven electronic music, stylishly referred to as "Altronipop", with a playful stage presence similar to that of an actor. Grabbing comparisons to artists such as Bjork (who once performed lyrics written by Eitch in 2012) its no wonder Eitch is making huge strides in the artistic community. Led by her curiosity and overall passion to bring out wonder in her audience, Eitch summons a unique and powerful experience to the stage, paving a path of her own.
The Classical is Juliet E. Gordon and drummer Britt Ciampa. "It's supposed to be vulnerable and exhibitionist stuff, but with a strong sense of humor," says Juliet of her songwriting style. Juliet pens the band's music and lyrics while Britt, himself a jazz and improvised music drummer, supplies an ever-mutating backdrop of noise and pulse. The resulting performance feels like a live set by The Birthday Party or The Fall: equal parts quick wit, ominous rumbling, and agitated bravado.
