San Francisco Performances' popular Wednesday night Salon concerts spotlight fabulous talent in the casual and intimate setting of the Hotel Rex. These informal, after-work events last just one hour and drinks can be purchased in the hotel bar and enjoyed during the concert.
Baritone Efrain Solis is a second-year Adler Fellow who made his Company debut in June 2014 as Prince Yamadori in Madama Butterfly. Solis brings his "theatrical charisma and musical bravado" to a fascinating program of songs by Strauss, Poulenc, and Sondheim. Also on the program are new songs set to the poetry of Federico Garcia Lorca, written for Solis by Bay Area composer/clarinetist Jose Gonzales Granero.
