February 5th marks exactly 10 YEARS of my arrival in San Francisco.
And you know what they say, if you’ve lived here ten years, you’re a local. At least, that’s what a cab driver told me once. So I’m celebrating!
There’s a $5 cover and though I hate to enforce it, it will help me stay in the bay! So will the awesome raffle of prizes! Hooray for prizes!
AND it’s my motherfuckin’ 29th birthday! Hence, EDNAPALOOZA!
There will be ART! (really talented, good art from some of my closest peeps…details soon)
There will be GAMES!
There will be crazy characters interacting with you!
There will be CARTOONS!
There will be a DRAWING BOOTH!
There will be Drink Specials with all of your favorite memories of the past ten years, featuring:
“HURRICANE KATRINA”
(Dark rum, light rum, grenadine, lemon)
“BP OIL SPILL”
(Coffee Patrón tequila shot with a drizzle of olive oil)
“OBAMACARE”
(Big Daddy IPA w/a shot of Dickel whiskey in it) &
“Edna’s Black Hole”
(kahlua & ginger beer w a splash of lemon; sweet & scrumptious)
Now for the juicy stuff…
I’M PERFORMING MY FIRST STANDUP COMEDY ROUTINE BEFORE THE MUSIC STARTS.
So come @ 8 pm if you want to laugh at me bombing for the first time.
AAAAAAAAND DRUM n BASS all night, yooooo!
First up is my good friend, QUALAFOX who is my dance partner for years now. His dancing is as liquidy smooth as his set’s going to be.
(9:00-10:15 pm)
Next is RETOX. He’s been around the drum n bass block and when he turns the corner, he’ll be at my party, playing music of the last decade.
(10:15-11:30 pm)
Then JAMAL and LUKEINO are tag teaming. They are the drum n bass duo that put SF back on the map for the drum n bass scene. They have been running Stamina Sundays party for over 3 years now, but they started off in Compression crew. I’m happy to have been around to see those days come and go and bare witness to the new shit too. They’re going to rock your socks off; they always do. (11:30pm-12:45 am)
Finally, there is a special guest headliner whose name is too heavy to be on my girly rainbow flyer so we’ll call them SECRET SPECIAL HEADLINER. Bring your tennis shoes; it will be hard.
(12:45-2:00 am)
Bring your smile and some energy so we can laugh and dance all night long. Looking forward to it!
