SF Sketchfest presents a spotlight on of some of the best international comedians who have each made a significant impact on the Edinburgh Fringe Festival scene. Hosted by Fringe veteran and acclaimed comedian and actress Janeane Garofalo, the show features Wil Anderson from Australia, Maeve Higgins from Ireland, Daniel Sloss from Scotland, and Dan Clark and Matt Kirshen, from England. Wil Anderson is a stand-up, television host and popular podcaster who appeared on “Chelsea Lately” and sold out shows around the world. He was named one of comedy’s hottest acts by John Cleese. Dan Clark is an actor, comedian, writer, and director. He is best known for playing Don Danbury on the BBC Three sitcom "How Not to Live Your Life," which he also sole wrote, co-produced, and directed various episodes of. Maeve Higgins is a stand-up and writer who has performed in festivals around the world and starred in popular Irish television shows “Naked Camera,” “Fancy Vittles” and on Sky One’s “Moone Boy” with Chris O’Dowd. She writes for the Irish Times and her second book will be published by Hachette in Fall of 2015. Matt Kirshen has appeared on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon,” “The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson,” and was a finalist on NBC’s “Last Comic Standing.” He has a half-hour special on Comedy Central and his CD “I Guess We’ll Never Know” was named one of Punchline Magazine’s top 10 comedy albums. Daniel Sloss has been widely acclaimed as comedy’s internationally acclaimed and award-winning half-man-half-Xbox. He started performing at age 16 and has appeared on numerous UK television shows including “The Rob Brydon Show” and “So You Think You’re Funny?” He has sold out entire runs of shows at the Fringe nearly every year since 2010.
