Are you concerned about protecting our climate while strengthening the economy? Did you know the first cap-and-trade market for greenhouse gasses in the United States is being rolled out right now in California, and has already created hundreds of thousands of green tech jobs? Are you interested in how this law, AB-32, can both help business and fight climate change at the same time?
Emily Reyna, a Senior Manager at EDF, will be speaking at a public dinner at EDF's headquarters in downtown San Francisco on March 13th. She will be sharing her perspective from working with businesses on the implementation of AB-32 and the lessons learned so far from helping build the first carbon market in the US. There will be light food provided followed by a lecture, a Q&A session, and finally a discussion where you can share your own opinions and concerns about climate change.
This event is free of charge and open to the public. RSVP for details. Space is limited, so please RSVP early.
This is the first in a series of social and educational events in San Francisco organized under the EDF Ambassador program. For more information on who we are and how to join our community, see http://ambassadors.edf.org/.
See you there!
