SAGE (aka LAURA TOTTEN) was a world-renowned DRUM+BASS producer and DJ based in SAN FRANCISCO from 1997 to 2004. Retiring from the scene 11 years ago, and since relocating to her home of BELFAST, NORTHERN IRELAND, she’s now back in full force for 2015 with a slew of new releases lined up. She’ll also be making a return to the STATES this coming September and October for a number live shows which feature her own live vocals over a set of original tracks and collaborations.
A multifaceted composer, musician, producer and DJ, SAGE plays several musical instruments (including drums and mandolin), dabbles with commercial composing, sings in a jazz duo and choirs, and facilitates youth and community workshops in her hometown of BELFAST. She was the very first female sponsor for the DC SHOES company and also added professional fashion model to her ever-growing list of accomplishments and talents. In 2001, she formed PHYLUM RECORDINGS with partner SUSIE LEE and then-DJ partner UFO!. The label released 4 vinyl 12′s including a track from revered TECHNO producer JOHN TEJADA.
In 2004, after seven years continuous DJ gigs, playing almost nightly for months at a time, and dealing with the passing of her father, SAGE began an eleven year break from the scene to reconnect with friends and family, and ultimately, venture into different styles of music and a variety of creative outlets. Perfectly at home being a multi-disciplinary artist, SAGE has found a new breath of life creating a musical output that crosses many scenes, styles and tempos.
Currently, she writes TECH HOUSE tracks under her birth name “LAURA TOTTEN” and has releases out on UK-based TWISTED RECORDINGS. 2015 also sees new DRUM+BASS releases from SAGE due out soon on BELFAST-based label ANAMORPHIC. Featuring a number of IRISH musicians, ANAMORPHIC is also proud to add legendary producers CALIBRE and ZERO T to its growing roster of artists.

This unlikely duo formed across the Pacific Ocean to create a unique strain of tribal alien tech funk. Centaspike hails from Canberra, the capital of Australia. Indidjinous is a SF Bay Area native. Each has over 10 years of production experience with many releases on a variety of international labels. Ironically, Indidjinous is the one who plays the Australian aboriginal wind instrument known as the didgeridoo, which is used in their productions as well as during live performances.
Originally meeting through Soundcloud, the two began their partnership with two mutual remixes in early 2012. Pleased with the results, another remix EP quickly followed, all of which were quickly signed. This success inspired two new full collaborations, “Spliced” and “Ominous Mystery”, and spawned a vile new breed of future/primitive sci-fi techstep. Both collaborations were quickly signed by the prestigious jungle/drumfunk label Subtle Audio in Ireland and featured on the compilation CD Subtle Audio Volume III.
The chemistry and originality of those collaborations generated renewed momentum and sparked the creation of a 10 track album entitled Primordial Resistance LP. Centaspike will be travelling to the USA for the first time to commemorate its impending release on a major UK label. The two will showcase these tunes and many new creations at Dystopia. Spinning alongside each other and also featuring live didgeridoo by Indidjinous, before heading off to England together for another release show.
