Singer, songwriter and guitarist Dylan Holland was born in Cincinnati, Ohio . Dylan grew up in a small, Cincinnati suburb, approximately 20 miles outside of the Queen City.
Although he has played guitar his entire life, he began honing his craft by posting self-made, home videos on Youtube and performing for his dedicated fans, who coined themselves “The Deezy Army”, on Blog-TV in early 2010. During his rise in popularity (currently over 120,000 Twitter Followers and 55,000 YouTube subscribers), Dylan auditioned and won the first ever “Teen Hoot” contest in Nashville, Tennessee where he met David Malloy, a Grammy-nominated singer, songwriter and producer with over 40 #1 hits. Malloy produced and recorded Dylan's first single, "Tonight", released in January 2013.
Dylan writes all of his music and plans on releasing his first EP in the Summer of 2013. Shortly thereafter, Dylan will begin touring.
Over the past two years, Dylan traveled the country with his family performing at major events, including Nashville Hootenanny’s “Teen Hoot”, private parties, and in other major music venues. In November 2011, Dylan was recognized by Pop Star Magazine as being the “next teen mega crush."
Although his genre is categorized as “pop”, his songs are inspired by many genres including rock, rap, country, and R&B. Many artists fuel his inspiration, such as: Aerosmith, Michael Jackson, Justin Bieber, Jason Mraz, Cody Simpson, Garth Brooks, Chris Brown, JAY-Z and Adele.
Dylan has also performed locally in Cincinnati in support of the homeless and Pencil’s for Promise. He is also an advocate for the humane treatment of animals, as well as the National Anti-Bullying Campaign. Dylan continues to perform weekly on the Blog-TV platform to keep in touch with his fans and elicit their feedback, keeping ever true to his motto, “Fans First.”
