Drop-In Art-Making: Dreaming Up: A Celebration of Building with Author/illustrator Christy Hale and Poet Gail Newman

Every Sunday and select school holidays from 1–3pm, families can experience a new adventure in art-making free with admission to The Contemporary Jewish Museum. As always, the hands-on fun inspires children to learn more about the exhibitions on display in the galleries, the building’s architecture, or holidays and traditions while experimenting with materials and art techniques.

Join guest author/illustrator Christy Hale in the art studio for readings of her book DreamingUp: A Celebration of Building. Create your own miniature building or sukkah (temporary outdoor structure used during the holiday of Sukkot) using words, photographs, and up-cycled materials. Join us for this fun day in celebration of the annual Architecture and the City festival and the Jewish holiday of Sukkot.
This event is a part of AIA San Francisco and the Center for Architecture + Design's Architecture and the City festival, which celebrates architecture and design each September.
