Drew Croon's Misa Gitana Andaluza - A Gypsy Mass

SEE EVENT DETAILS
Flamenco and jazz piano virtuoso Alex Conde from Spain, elegant mezzo-soprano Kindra Scharich, and Spanish classical and flamenco dancer extraordinaire Fanny Ara take you on a Gypsy-inspired musical journey that is beautiful, dramatic, and promises to astonish. The fresh new ensemble makes its debut performance, premiering Misa Gitana Andaluza, a never-before-heard hybrid of lavish classical Latin prayers set to exotic flamenco melodies, tones, and chords from Andalusia. These striking artists present a performance unlike any other, of the unique, haunting work by late American composer Drew Croon.

Alex Conde and Fanny Ara also dazzle with Spanish solo piano pieces and dances, and special guest artists Roberto & Ernesto Granados, young brother phenoms aged 16 and 10, delight with Spanish classical and flamenco selections on guitar and cajón, a Peruvian wood percussive instrument.

Alex Conde – flamenco piano
Kindra Scharich – mezzo-soprano
Fanny Ara – Spanish classical & flamenco dance
Roberto Granados – Spanish classical & flamenco guitar
Ernesto Granados – cajón
