What you’ll be supporting:
Transforming metal into art is our practice and our passion. It has been part of our participation in BM for over a decade. This year, as part of Cargo Cult, we would again bring this process of transformation to the Playa to share with others via the Dragon Smelter which itself is both a beautiful kinetic sculpture but also a real reduction foundry. Working with Recycle Camp and the general LNT effort at Burning Man we will do a live casting event melting cans and scrap aluminum that participants donate for this purpose to our team. In addition nightly fire effects are held at the dragon while our annual coin press is set up in collaboration with recycle camp producing reclaimed aluminum coins.
