Come watch Downtown Redwood City light up with excitement at the Tree Lighting Celebration on Wednesday, Oct. 5 in front of the historic Fitzpatrick Building on Broadway at 7:30 p.m. to celebrate the new light installation. The Redwood City Improvement Association (RCIA) teamed up with the City of Redwood City to bring the community energy efficient white LED lights in 165 trees over a 8 block radius to make Downtown even more enjoyable for its residents and visitors! The 165 trees will be lit every night of the week, lighting up the Downtown and making it easier to shop, stroll and enjoy the city at night. The public is invited to join the RCIA and City officials for the Tree Lighting Celebration and representatives will give commencement words at the ceremony. The City of Redwood City will launch the lighting celebration in a progressive sequence throughout the whole Downtown for the first lighting of the trees.
