Join us for our Fall Winemaker dinner on Wednesday, September 21st at 6:30 pm with winemaker Bryan Harrington of Harrington Wines, an urban winery located in San Francisco. Bryan, an SF native, focuses on old-vine, organic and sustainably-grown Pinot Noir from California's premier appellations, along with a few unusual varietals sourced from some of California's unique grape growers. He partnered with our Wine Director, Todd Smith, on a ROSATO under our private label, Suj?t?, which is a delicious rosé blend of Corvina Veronese (75%) and Sangiovese (25%), created specifically for our food. Corvina, which is an Italian red wine grape grown mainly in the Veneto region of Northeast Italy, tends to be bright red with a light structure. Sangiovese, which imparts delicate fragrances and flavors, is a red grape originating in Tuscany, Italy.
Dinner guests will start the evening with tastes of Kir-Yianni Akakies, a sparkling rose of Xinomavro, from Macedonia in Greece, followed by a four-course menu featuring some new dishes from our fall menu, including for the first time, romali roti and kebabs. Each course will be served alongside expertly selected wines paired for the meal, including the Suj?t? ROSATO and other new releases from Harrington Wines. Bryan and Todd will be at the dinner to share engaging, insider stories about making wine, and discuss the process of conceiving, blending and bottling DOSA's private label, Suj?t?, which is in its fifth vintage.
