Touted by Jay Leno, Bill Cosby, Jamie Foxx and the New York Times as one of the best comedic performers, Don Reed chronicles his true tale of a young man raised in Oakland by his mother and ultra-strict stepfather as a middle class, straight A, God-fearing church boy who moves in with his adoring father, unaware he was a pimp!

In addition to performing the opening act on a daily basis for The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Don Reed is recognized as one of the San Francisco Bay Area Critics Circle Award Solo Performance Nominees. His show East 14th, is the longest running solo show in East Bay Area history and is a Double NAACP Theatre Award Nominee (Best Actor & Best Playwright).

Funds raised through ticket sales will benefit 51Oakland, a non-profit charitable organization, organized and operated solely to promote educational, artistic and musical opportunities for youth in the Oakland community. 51Oakland provides access to mentoring, nurturing and training by professional musicians. The mission is to inspire student learning, hard work, discipline and self-esteem by strengthening the role of music and the arts in the Oakland public school system.
