Dear DISTRIKT family and Burning Man community,
Thank you for supporting DISTRIKT since 2010. Our new home on the playa in 2023 at 10&K, was truly EPIC. After much consideration, we've decided to take a year off from Burning Man in 2024. This break will allow us to refocus our fundraising efforts, upgrade our camp infrastructure, and carry out necessary maintenance for an even better DISTRIKT experience when we return in 2025.
The Scumfrog has been a close friend of DISTRIKT since our Deep End Camp days. He's played on our decks on and off the playa more than any other guest. He's family to us, which is why we felt it fitting to host him in San Francisco to kick off our fundraising efforts for our return to Burning Man in 2025.
DISTRIKT is a 501c3 Non-Profit music and arts organization, supporting an inclusive and diverse community of performers and artists through events, partnerships, community involvement, mentorship and relationship building. DISTRIKT was founded in 2010 based on the ethos of the Ten Principles of Burning Man and over the past decade has evolved into globally recognized philanthropic organization.
While DISTRIKT is known for producing large scale dance music events, we are an ever-evolving organization with a core believe that it is important to have a strong connection and meaningful experiences with the community that we celebrate. We regularly partner with community organizations and over the past decade have donated event proceeds to support local and national non-profit organizations, such as Make-A-Wish Foundation, San Francisco-Marin Food Bank, Habitat For Humanity, California Fire Foundation and the Burning Man Project.
Our mission is to leverage our wide community reach to support efforts focused on helping our community, our country and our planet.
