District San Francisco Turns Ten and Celebrates with Extended Happy Hour Pricing

District, the popular SOMA wine and whiskey bar and dining spot, will be celebrating their ten year anniversary from Monday, February 13 through Saturday, February 18 from 4:00 p.m. to close by offering $6.00 Happy Hour pricing all evening on select glasses of wine, beer and cocktails including The Tin Soldier made with New Amsterdam gin, lemon juice, Cardamaro, allspice and clove syrup, house made ginger beer, and aromatic bitters.

Commenting on a notable milestone, co-owner Jon D'Angelica reflects, "We feel blessed to still be doing what we love ten years later."

District showcases over 40 wines by the glass, over 60 premium whiskeys and an extensive private reserve list with unique, high quality labels. Its collection of wine and whiskey focuses on small, independent producers of very high quality product. District also offers a robust selection of sippable spirits including tequila, mezcal, amaro, Cognac, Armagnac and brandy.

In addition, District continues to serve Executive Chef Bob Cina's signature small plates menu. Not to be missed is the charcuterie plate paired with a whiskey flight. Sunday brunch remains a neighborhood favorite. Cina, is a native of Boston and has been working in the Bay Area for more than a decade.

District’s décor remains as warm and engaging as it has always been with both lounge and table seating. Its brick and timber bones are highlighted by the trademark center horseshoe bar made from reclaimed South American Peroba Rosa and its wine and whiskey tower.

Since it opened a decade ago, District San Francisco has been lauded by critics and customers alike. "It's become a very popular after-work destination, so head there early to monopolize some of the comfy sofas or secure a seat at the bar", wrote the San Francisco Chronicle, while San Francisco Magazine commented, "the hottest wine bar by far is District in SoMa", with 7x7 adding, "offering up a little bit of everything, District is helping to define the city's sleekest new neighborhood...but [it] would have been successful in any neighborhood..."

District San Francisco is located at 216 Townsend Street, near Third Street, and is open Monday through Friday from 4:00 p.m. (kitchen opens at 5:00 p.m.) until close and on Saturday from 5:00 p.m. until close. Sunday brunch is served from 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Reservations are not required. For more information, call (415) 896-2120 or visit District on the web at https://www.DistrictSF.com.
