We are happy to announce that the Discovering Buddhism Series will be starting again.
This course (taught by our senior nun, Venerable Drimay, with 10 years of experience teaching these topics) consists of 14 modules between 4-6 weeks each will begin with how to understand the workings of the mind and will take us all the way through how to achieve enlightenment.
Using classical texts interwoven with modern day A.V. examples, Venerable Drimay will take us step by step through each module so we can understand the teachings of the Buddha such as karma, how to deal with death and how to develop the qualities of a Buddha as well as how to understand the world as it really is.
Each module will end with a practice day where we can meditate and discuss what we have learned as well as weekly homework to make sure key points are being understood.
