DTE brings you another night of minimal techno sounds at 222 Hyde featuring...

(Emote Music, Oban, Live Dudes, Traveling S#!T Show)

John Templeton can be found in many corners of Colorado’s techno scene. He is one half of the duo Oban, a member of Live Dudes and the Traveling S#!T Show, the COO of Emote Music and he also performs his own DJ and live sets. Recently John founded the Great American Techno Festival, which has been rapidly gaining recognition. DTE looks forward to hosting one of America's finest producers in 222 Hyde’s “rave cave” for the first time.

(Moniker, Smash Hit, 222)

Raised in rural Iowa, Kenneth Scott nursed an obsession with dance music while exploring his hometown's tiny techno scene. Like many an auspicious beginning, his earliest DJ gigs consisted of house parties with a cobbled together set-up built from his father's old turntable, a portable CD player, and a Radio Shack mixer. Scott’s music has been described as an active resurrection of the melodies surrendered in the great minimal techno takeover. His clever use of techy snares, reptilian synths, and subtle layers of melody has helped to define him as one of the city’s brightest stars. Scott currently lives in San Francisco and continues to hone his skills as successful promoter, DJ, and producer.
