San Francisco’s Ambassadors of Gypsy Rock: DIEGO’S UMBRELLA, returns to the Osher Marin JCC’s Summer Nights’ family-friendly outdoor music, festival on July16, 2016 in San Rafael.
The 24th Annual Summer Nights Series of outdoor music, dinners, cocktails, picnics, dancing, and fun for kids, continues on July 16, 2016 with Diego’s Umbrella, a unique band that captures California’s cultural multiplicity with enthusiasm, humor and decadence.
The second of 5 Summer Saturday Night outdoor concerts brings Diego’s Umbrella to The Osher Marin JCC on July 16, 2016 with a celebration of cultural multiplicity that IS the San Francisco Bay Area. Labeled as “gypsy-punk”, “ska-infused groove” “electo-pop” “anthemic Brit-pop” “nouveau hipsters” with influences, encompassing “reggae, flamenco, techno, mariachi, lounge-jazz” as well as “frenzied Eastern European-influenced flamenco guitar and fiddle” Diego’s Umbrella is hard to define as a specific genre. What is easy to say is they are high energy, talented and super fun.
