Devon McClive and Sons

SEE EVENT DETAILS
Devon McClive and Sons
With McClive’s vocals holding the songs together, the band shuffle between creaky blues, pre-war jazz, showtunes and folk – even finding room for hints of ska and western soundtracks." Devon McClive and Sons are an Oakland based band inspired by the likes of Regina Spektor, Nancy Sinatra, Tom Waits and Nina Simone. They push their dynamics with the cello, bluesy guitar, jazzy drums and sultry vocals.

John Underwood
John Underwood is a multi-instrumentalist solo artist from Reno, NV with an unusual setup. He's placed six instruments around him all running into a loop pedal, so he can create a full folk band sound live in front of the audience with banjo, acoustic guitar, trumpet, trombone, bass, and an acoustic style drum setup with cajon, washboard and some cymbals. His music has spawned out of the ashes of his folk-pirate-gypsy band The Deadly Gallows, and the influences of his current folk-gypsy projects Six Mile Station and Dirty Kid Discount. A lot of people claim to be a one man band, but John will show you in one set how to put together all the pieces for such a thing, and what that full band would sound like.

Shootdang
Shootdang is a nomadic country/ folk band born from the joint talents of Pitch goose and Erin Wolf. Husky whiskey kissed harmonies sing of love, longing and loss over acoustic guitar and clawhammer style banjo. Find them in coffee shops, seedy dives, even weddings. come say hello and buy them a drink. whiskey neat, thanks.

Tim Buckaroo
Musician and songwriter Tim Buckaroo has been hollering at folks and bleeding on strings for most of his life. He’s been featured in many Bay Area outfits over the last 10+ years including The Fucking Buckaroos, Hay Babes, and Street Justice. On August 29th he’ll be performing a rare, not-to-be-missed solo set featuring brand new original material from upcoming top-secret project Tim & The Anglers, as well as various selections from past projects, with a few nods to some of his favorite songwriters thrown in the mix.
