Though they specialize in wild costumes, a healthy selection of new and vintage hats can be found scattered around Departures from the Past. Among headwear like oversized vinyl policeman's caps and even a leopard print Fez, men will feel their new style tickling their brow when they try on Departures' many fedoras, panama hats, driving caps, top hats, berets, and vintage military caps. The ladies will find many different styles of hats made of sequins, fur, netting, wool felt, velvet, and strange vintage knits. Dig through the metal basket by the register for some odd head ornamentation, most especially the "Lace trimmed large bouffant fashion bonnet for sleep or street wear," a piece of bad fashion history in its original packaging.
