Description
Charismatic indie rockers Dean & Britta (formerly of the storied bands Galaxie 500 and Luna) perform haunting, seductive original compositions and cover songs against a backdrop of 13 silent black-and-white “screen tests” shot by Andy Warhol. These four-minute film portraits, captured at Warhol’s 1960s New York art playground, The Factory, feature a series of young, beautiful people including Lou Reed, Dennis Hopper and Warhol muse Edie Sedgwick.
"In a word, mesmerizing. The music unabashedly translated the ominous drone of early Velvet Underground songs…into a more modern electronic mode reminiscent of Giorgio Moroder’s chic torture-chamber disco."
