Description
Collaborating with Tim Mooney (American Music Club, Chuck Prophet, Mark Kozelek of Red House Painters, and Hannah Marcus) at Closer Recording for his upcoming record, Shadows & Gardens, Davis Jones blends soulful songwriting, rich instrumentation and sepia toned production quality for a classic and organic sound. Jones’ smoky, soulful voice carries pleasantly dark lyrics accompanying melodic tunes ranging from deliberate, catchy folk to literate acoustic rock.

Following the release of his previous album Winter Midnight in November, 2008, Jones was invited to join Phil Lesh (Grateful Dead, Phil Lesh & Friends) for the Rock to Relief Benefit concert at Slims and selected for inclusion on KFOG-FM’s Local Scene CD, released in August 2009.
