Latvian-born writer and filmmaker David Bezmozgis has explored themes of exile and aspiration through his award-winning collection Natasha and Other Stories and the heartfelt multigenerational saga Free World. His new novel, The Betrayers, set in the Crimea, is about a disgraced Russian Jewish dissident turned Israeli politician who meets the old friend who denounced him to the K.G.B. forty years earlier.

This program is the launch of Jewish LearningWorks' One Bay One Book, a project of the Jewish Community Library.
