Description
The “Dare to Hope” exhibition showcases the photographs of clients of several social service agencies making important transitions in their lives. Some of the participants are in transitional housing and searching for permanent homes, others are gaining new skills and some are attempting to live independently while committing to better physical and mental health.

Melanie Markowitz is the project director. She resides in NY and holds a law degree from Yale Law School, a MSt. in religion from Oxford and a BA with distinction in history from Swarthmore College. She has directed other documentary photography projects.
