Dann "Guru" Zinn and his zest for music through constant reinvention of classic sounds have been labeled by Oakland Magazine as a combination of "Garbarek's crystalline sound with a handful of East Bay grease." Local musician, Zinn teaches at Cal State East Bay, U.C. Berkeley and the Jazz school in Berkeley. Along with teaching, Zinn has been a force behind musicians such as Remy le Boeuf.
