Cypress String Quartet's Salon Series II: Brahms Sextets

The Cypress String Quartet performs the second concert of its 2015-2016 Salon Series at the charming Kanbar Performing Arts Center in San Francisco and will be joined by acclaimed cellist Zuill Bailey and violist Barry Shiffman to perform Brahms' String Sextets. The program celebrates Valentine's Day weekend with String Sextet No. 2, Op. 18, which was used in the 1958 film "The Lovers" ("Les Amants") by French director Louis Malle. The Cypress will also perform Brahms' String Sextet No. 2, Op. 36. Salon Concerts run approximately two hours including intermission and are followed by chocolates and wine receptions hosted on-site by the Cypress String Quartet.
