San Francisco’s Cypress String Quartet has played on thousands of stages around the world and recorded more than a dozen albums. Celebrating both their 20th anniversary and the commercial release of their complete recordings of Beethoven’s string quartets, the ensemble is taking the music to the streets in a series of 16 performances titled Beethoven in the City. Performing in a variety of publicly accessible settings throughout San Francisco’s 11 districts, the Cypress String Quartet is determined to bring classical music to the broadest possible audience.
