Aaron Jay Kernis is winner of the coveted 2012 Nemmers Prize and 2002 Grawemeyer Award for Music Composition, and one of the youngest composers ever awarded the Pulitzer Prize. Since 2003 he has taught composition at the Yale School of Music, where he is Professor (Adjunct) of Composition. He will be the featured guest artist at a free concert presented by California Summer Music on July 16th at 8pm in the newly renovated Schroeder Hall at Sonoma State University's Green Music Center.
The Composers concert will also feature works by CSM faculty composer David Tcimpidis, performed by CSM faculty and talented young artists.
