The Sunset Youth Orchestra is accepting new students for the coming term. Auditions will be held on Friday, September 4, 2015, at St. John's Church in San Francisco. If interested, please contact Tatiana at (415) 8196736 or via email at

The Sunset Youth Orchestra was founded in 1999 by Tatiana Ganenko, has been dedicated to enriching children's lives through music. The Orchestra is a full orchestra with currently 50 students from public, private, parochial, and home schools primarily within San Francisco. Students range in age from 7 to 18, and are assisted by a highly dedicated group of section coaches/teachers. The orchestra believes that no child should be turned away who desires to play an instrument, and as such, it will provide customized parts where needed.
Sunset Youth Orchestra performs a wide range of music that includes classical, jazz, and popular selections. In addition, there are opportunities to perform with singers, dancers, and professional guest instrumentalists. Although the orchestra has 2 concerts during the school year, it was also selected to perform at Disneyland this past February. It was such a motivating and thrilling event for this talented group of students and teachers that the Orchestra applied, and was accepted, to perform in the Sounds of Summer International Music Festival at Carnegie Hall in June, 2016. As can be imagined, this will be a very costly trip for the majority of the students, so it would love to receive any financial donations by logging onto
