at Caught in the Web - An Old Soul in a New World (see times)
Tales of life in the modern world have never been told with such wily wit and wisdom! Using music, humor, dancing and song, Phil Wiseman’s one man show, Caught in the Web, captures the heart of what it’s like to be an old soul in a new world! Wiseman vigorously demonstrates his difficult adjustment to the pace and anonymity of contemporary living while nostalgically longing for days gone by.

Wiseman re-creates a world we can all relate to: the dystopian planet we all thrive and wallow in, a world of rushing and distraction and antisocial chaos, a world that up until now, never seemed so hilarious!

His opening number sucks you in immediately while his band’s rhythm keeps speedy time to usher you into the fast-paced mayhem that is modern life. He takes you for a stroll down memory lane using new tech to show old tech in ways that are both poignant and playful!

Wiseman holds up a mirror to the modern world’s guilty pleasures and obsessions and illustrates this point with a vaudevillian performance worthy of Bob Hope and Jimmy Durante.

Wiseman’s Caught in the Web is no ordinary one man show. It is a three dimensional romp that has a solid backbone of musicians, light engineers that uses the audience as a co-star in the show. You’ve never laughed so hard while feeling the shame of your own attention deficit.

Philanthropy and unique entertainment take center stage as UPP, Inc. presents one old soul’s journey into the technological world through music and humorous stories. This special one-night only performance will benefit The Richmond/Ermet Aid Foundation of San Francisco.

Phil Wiseman has served as President of UPP, Inc., a leader in the promotional products business since 1981, and had always dreamed of a life in show business. Now, at the age of 77, he is making his mark on the local cabaret scene celebrating his many years of appreciation of the vaudeville-style song and dance form and his struggle to come to grips with show business in the modern world. Think Henny Youngman meets Justin Timberlake.

The Richmond/Ermet Aid Foundation (REAF) provides aid for HIV/AIDS services, hunger programs and programs that serve and support homeless and underserved youth, primarily through the production of quality entertainment events. Over the past 22 years, REAF has distributed well over $3 million to local HIV, hunger and homeless youth programs. Mr. Wiseman has been a long-time supporter of REAF and REAF’s multiple fundraising events held throughout the year and personal friends with Ken Henderson, the Executive Director for almost 30 years.

Tickets for this one night only cabaret show and dinner are only $85/person.
Event begins at 6:00pm includes dinner, hors d’oeuvres, show with a no host bar.

Tickets are available online at https://www.caughtinweb.brownpapertickets.com
