"He knows how to dance you!" Grateful Dead lyricist John Perry Barlow exclaimed on hearing Colm perform. Both violinist and composer, Colm likes to sit on borders. In the name of bringing more beauty into the world and thrilling his audiences while he's at it, Colm and his band explore the links between the music of Ireland and a dazzling profusion of other musical genres. Where else would you hear Irish rhythms and melodies seamlessly blended with influences from Jazz, Blues, Brazil, Cuba, India, the Roma and Africa?

Born in Ireland, Colm threw himself into western Classical music winning a slew of awards along the way, including the Czech Government Prize for Advanced Violin Performance. With various orchestras, he has played in concert halls across Europe - from Dublin to Nicosia - including a spell as leader (Concertmaster) of the National Youth Orchestra of Ireland.
