THIS EVENT HAS ENDED
Substance is missing in the world of music today. The so called "music" that the labels are releasing is just canned crap and you ask yourself where is the real deal? Cole Fonseca is the real deal. Fonseca was involved in a automobile collision that ejected him out of the back windsheild at an excessive speed leaving him paralysis of the left arm in 2005. After this tragedy Fonseca still pursued a career in music by developing his own sound on the electric harmonica by his tone and his brutal attack on the instrument. Using a 5-watt amp with a 10 inch speaker cranked all the way up. Also he gets away with using a wah wah pedal which you can hear on his tune "Spirit in the Dark" a song he had done tipping the hat to the Blind Boys of Alabama. Coles latest Album "The Phoenix Jubilee" had raised alot of eyebrows with its diversity and it big powerful sound. Most of that album is featured on the playlist below. Fonseca also acheived something that nobody ever expected. Playing slide guitar with one hand like a pro with two hands. You can hear the rough copy of the song "Rattlesnake" Fonsecas phrasing and tone are nothing shot of world class. Listen and enjoy this Bluesmans testimony. The man that was kicked down and got up swinging and knocking out giants such as death itself

There are those who sing and play the blues, and then there are those who live the blues. Guitar slingers can be found on street corners in just about any city. The heartache of a wailing harp pours from the doorways of countless smoky bars. Life is hard. The blues are everywhere. So then, what makes bluesman Cole Fonseca so special? The fact is, his music truly is a reflection of his life, and his story is like none you have ever heard.

For 2013, Cole Fonscea has signed with an independent/major label, and is exclusively managed and booked by Consonant Music. He will be recording his first major album, which will be released for mass distribution across the globe. The album will be produced by one of the greatest producers of all time, Toby Wright. Toby has worked with countless multi-platinum acts like Metallica, Korn, Alice in Chains, and Chris Whitley, to name a few. It was Cole’s modern edge, and what he’s done with the blues, that piqued Toby’s interest. Bands like The Black Keys and Jack White have brought the Blues to the forefront of today’s generation. Cole Fonseca is next in line. He is truly an inspiration. That is what separates him from most artists. Seeing and hearing him play, after hearing his story, is simply unforgettable.
