City Picnic guests will be treated to a family-style dinner of vibrantly fresh, local ingredient-driven cuisine from Sonoma’s El Molino Central, under the culinary direction of Karen Taylor Waikiki. Only for Education Outside will Karen come down to set up an outdoor kitchen and cook with her loyal crew from all over Mexico.
“When anyone asks where I love to eat north of San Francisco, I always answer “El Molino Central,” the most wonderful taqueria on the planet,” says Patty Unterman, chef and co-founder of Ferry Plaza Farmers Market and Hayes Street Grill. “Waikiki’s house-ground organic white corn masa is so tasty and alive, and the fillings, toppings and salsas so brilliant in flavor, I can’t stop eating.”
