Cinema Arts is taking the silver screen outdoors to present a film program investigating our local landscape and the interaction between bay and city life. The June 18 screening will include Pier 15, a time-lapse study done by Cinema Artist in Residence Michael Rudnick.
Pier 15 (2013, 4 min., video) by Michael Rudnick
Commissioned by Exploratorium Cinema Arts, Michael Rudnick created time-lapse videos taken from the Observatory Gallery of the Exploratorium’s new home at Pier 15 to create a dynamic cinematic meditation on the pier as an architectural abstraction of light and shadow.
