On Christmas Eve, Tuesday, December 24, Urban Tavern in San Francisco will be serving from 5:00 to 10:30 PM their regular a la carte dinner menu plus a $39.95 three-course prix fixe holiday menu with appetizer choices of Crab Bisque with root vegetables and a puff pastry dome or Winter Greens with cured olives, hearts of palm, pancetta and a pomegranate vinaigrette; plus main course choices of Grilled Swordfish Loin with smashed fingerling potato, sorrel, olive and preserved lemon relish or Pork Tenderloin with turnips, beets and their greens, and a cider reduction; and, for dessert, Warm Apple Strudel with vanilla gelato or Mint Chocolate Chip Layer Cake whipped cream. This same holiday prix fix menu will also be served on Christmas Day from 5:00 to 10:30 PM and on both days there will be a children's menu (for ages 5 to 12) offered for $17.95.
